Circus full of clowns

A circus full of clowns, Jokers in a big parade

A world of make believe, Living in a masquerade

Thunderclouds in the summertime, We don’t owe a single dime

Laughing seems to be a crime,  Rehab in jail to wash off the grime

Once bitten, twice shy,  Isn’t that what they all say

I got burned and I got bruised,  And I’ve been losing all I’ve got

Clenched fist and I stay put, A walking barefoot on a gravel road

Cut the rope to what’s gone by, Damaged done I’ll cover up

A sound of an old 6 string, Close harmony with a violin

Smoothly sliding notes bend, Goosebumps on my skin

Hand it over, let it go, No clenched fist, no harm done

Wishes on a paper plane, Let it fly and count on it

Where is the song with the golden words

Where is the hand with the warmer touch

Where is the train to Wonderland

Where is the sun and where is the truth
